Hi Guys/Gals
I am helping organise Kiwi PyCon this year, which is being held in Dunedin at the Otago University Septemebr 1-2.
What is Kiwi PyCon?
Kiwi PyCon is a two day conference organised by the New Zealand Python Users Group (NZPUG) dedicated to the Python programming language. It's an annual event, and is hosted in a different city each year. In 2012, the conference is being held in Dunedin, within the University of Otago campus. The conference attracts a great number of presentations from New Zealand and around the world.
How much does it cost?
Students (with ID)/ Unwaged are $60.
Everyone else is $100.
What a steal!
What do I get for my money?
You get the chance to network with some of the best programmers in Australia and New Zealand.
You get two streams of talks and two key note speakers (maybe more depending on sponsorship).
You get a t-shirt available in a large range of sizes size, both male and female styles.
Lunch and morning tea on both days.
Discount deals on accommodation and car rental during the conference.
Prizes lot and lots of prizes donated by our sponsors! (last year every second person won a prize of some kind!)
I have a topic I would like to present at the conference, do you have a call for papers?
Why yes we do! Go here for more information http://nz.pycon.org/2012/talks-cfp/call-for-papers/
Are you or do you know a company that might be willing to sponsor?
Please check out our sponsorship information http://nz.pycon.org/pdf/Kiwi_PyCon_Sponsorship_2012.pdf or go to http://nz.pycon.org
I am not a programmer/do not know Python but I want to learn, is this suitable for beginners?
We will be running some FREE introduction to Python programming workshops a week or so before the start of the conference, keep an eye here or on nz.pycon.org for more information.
I have more questions?
Feel free to ask them here.
Thanks for your time
